SPELLLING Drops Dark New Track

Bay area artist SPELLLING has always seemed to bring a kraut infused synth sound to her works. Her dark wave sounds on her latest track “Haunted Waters” though take what she did on her debut even further, making us curious as to what her upcoming release Mazy Fly will sound like in its entirety.

Opening with a dark synth and an almost eighties feel, SPELLLING takes her time getting to the verse. When her vocals do come in, they have a haunting spirit to them almost like the deathly gasps of someone on the brink of the end. Soulful at times, the dark wave sound is other-worldly and completely far and away from what you may be expecting. The beat clusters that come in mixed with a creepy synth craft a sound that makes us want more.

You can stream “Haunted Waters” on all platforms and you can preorder Mazy Fly from Bandcamp or directly from Sacred Bones Records. No tour dates have been announced yet before the album is set to be released on February 22.
