It’s been a couple of years since we heard from Lambchop, though it feels like it’s time for new music from them. With their fourteenth release due in March of next year, the band recently released their first single off of This (is what I wanted to tell you) and it’s an intimate gem. With “The December-ish You,” Lambchop proves the best is yet to come.
Soft and immersive, clean but still with lines blurred, the track is chill but not sleepy. It has that Lambchop feel without steering too far into the past, and it’s newer blend of notes won’t deter current fans either. It pops but isn’t pop music, though it dos stick in your head once it gets going.
Alongside the album announcement and the release of the first single from it, Lambchop has announced their first run of dates supporting the record.
