Lilly & Madeline Charm Ahead of New Album

You may have had to have been living under a rock not to have heard of Indiana folk pop duo Lily & Madeline. Since their debut six years ago, the duo have racked up a pretty hefty fan base alongside tons of streams and have gotten more popular than many in the genre. Now with their new album Canterbury Girls out just around the corner, their latest two singles have us excited for the album’s release.

With “Can’t Help The Way I Feel,” the duo almost embodies seventies acts like Olivia Newton-John and Carly Simon, though the song isn’t a lift as much as it’s more inspired. The piano driven song also has nuances of doo wop and offers up a different sound that what you may expect from there two. It’s catchy and it stays with you with it’s heavy pop structuring.

“Analog Love,” takes you closer to what the two piece has always done. The folk notes dance underneath their dazzling vocals, holding your ears with their tender sounds. While the song still has pop touches, it’s the sincere sounds that really showcase what’s so interesting about the music that these two make.

You can stream the singles on all streaming platforms or purchase them in digital shops. You can preorder Canterbury Girls directly from New West Records before its release date of February 22. Lily & Madeline will be on tour beginning February 18 in New Haven, CT at Cafe Nine until May 27 in Los Angeles at Bootleg Theater. A complete listing of their upcoming dates can be accessed here
