For a good while now, Kevin Devine has been dropping split releases with many notable artists. His last one was with British sensation Cavetown, and we weren’t sure he could top that one. We were wrong as his latest with John K. Samson of The Weakerthans. The music pretty much speaks for itself where each brings their styles to the table, offering up more than enough for fans to really sink into.

With the track from Samson, his signature talk sing style rings through with plenty of endearing sounds and a sweetness that’s often missing from modern music. The song from Devine offers up plenty of what his fans love, his vocals coming in against a softer background. The song shows that Devine still shines when he’s going at it without his indie rock squeals in tow.
You can stream the split on all streaming sites, you can purchase it digitally from Bandcamp or you can pick it up physically from Bad Timing Records. Kevin Deving will be on tour with John K. Samson beginning May 09 at Milkboy in College Park, MD until May 17 at The Space Ballroom in Hamden, CT. A complete listing of his upcoming dates can be accessed here.
