The New Song From Anna of the North is Our Jam

There’s a good chance that you’ve never heard of the pop by Oslo’s Anna of the North, though you should know that she’s an artist on the rise. For about five years she’s been dropping music that sticks with you after you first hear it, and her new single “Leaning On Myself” is no exception to that. Ahead of her upcoming tour, the song and its accompanying video should stay with you well after one stream.

The video has a very somber and solitary feel, though the imagery within is quite beautiful and works well with the song’s catchy hooks. The track has such a catchy stride mixed with the easy going pacing, the way the backing vocals link up with the lead, it’s all magical and worthy of placing on repeat again and again.

You can stream the video above or on YouTube, you can stream the song on all streaming sites, or you can purchase it from all digital shops. You can also purchase physical music directly from the Anna of the North web store. Anna of the North will be on tour in the U.S. beginning April 19 at Brighton Music Hall in Boston, MA until April 26 in San Francisco, CA at Rickshaw Stop. A complete listing of her tour dates can be accessed here
