Stella Donnelly Releases Video For “Tricks”

Stella Donnelly is on the cusp of dropping her new album Beware of The Dogs on March 08, and already she’s getting tons of traction. Ahead of the album’s release next week, Donnelly has released the new video for her song “Tricks,” and it’s a funny take on a song with a serious backstory. Directed by Nick Mckk and Julia Jacklin, the video is a lighthearted and easy going way to experience the track.

The song is essentially a jab at the racist Australian pride and the music industry at the same time. Donnelly is playful and whimsical in the song, offering glimpses into her demeanor. The music side of things has a catchy stride and pacing that should delight anyone who hears it, and keep their attention at the same time.

You can watch the video above or on YouTube, you can stream the song on all streaming platforms or purchase it in all digital store fronts. You can also pre-order Beware of the Dogs directly from Secretly Canadian on multiple formats and bundles before its release on March 08. Stella Donnelly is on tour in North America beginning March 15 in Washington, D.C. at U Street Music Hall until April 05 in San Francisco, CA at Cafe Du Nord, and again from July 17 in Lawrence, KS at The Granada until July 25 in Columbus, OH at Skully’s Music Diner. A complete list of her tour dates can be found here
