Deafheaven Sears on “Black Brick”

Deafheaven has always been dark, their brand of metal has always been heavy even by metal standards. On their new single “Black Brick” they steer closer to black metal without losing any of the intensity they’ve become known for in the process, creating a sound that’s nice and dark from open to close.

With a nice build at the beginning, the song takes a turn towards old school black metal, crafting an insane sound. It’s ferocious and unapologetic, never letting up for the seven minute run time while taking you to the darkest parts of your soul as it plays.

You can stream “Black Brick” on all streaming sites, you can purchase it in all digital store fronts or you can purchase the band’s last release on multiple formats in multiple bundles directly from Anti- Records. Deafheaven is back on the road starting March 08 in Houston, TX at White Oak Music Hall until August 16 through August 18 in Las Vegas, NV at Psycho Las Vegas.
