Khalid Lets His Spirit Fly on Two New Singles

El Paso’s Khalid has been on our radar for what feels like a long time. Since we saw him in a small space in Texas, we’ve felt like he’s the new artist that many people have been waiting for. Ahead of his upcoming album Free Spirit, he’s dropped two new singles “Talk” and “My Bad” and they’re pretty magical.

With “Talk,” Khalid digs deep and drops a mixture of sexy R&B and electro-pop greatness. The song sticks in your head with its catchy beat and easy going pacing. The accompanying video pops with as much color as the track, leaving an impression on anyone who watches it

On “My Bad,” Khalid utilizes a completely inventive song layout that really comes at you from multiple directions. Mixing guitar and his sultry vocals, the song isn’t really complex as far as instrumentation, but it’s definitely hook filled. When the beat drops you should be hooked, waiting for what the new full length will ultimately sound like.

You can stream both singles on all streaming sites, you can purchase them in all digital shops, or you can pre-order Free Spirit directly from RCA Records ahead of its release on April 05 and a short film on the release due in theaters on April 03. Khalid will be on tour beginning both weekends at Coachella April 12 through April 19 until a set at Lollapalooza Berlin on September 07 in Berlin, Germany. A complete listing of his appearances can be found here
