Delta Sleep to Release Re-Imagined Tracks For Record Store Day

Brighton’s Delta Sleep have easily captured the hearts of anyone who has heard their math rock sounds. Last year’s Ghost City contained some of the best math rock to come out in the past decade while showing how diversely talented the band is. Now on Record Store Day, the band will release the E.P. Ghost City Rarities featuring two acoustic tracks and two songs featuring vocals from Japanese group Tricot. With the song “Sultans of Ping” available to stream, it should be at the top of your list of releases to pick up.

The song has a different feel than the original and the vocals from math rockers Tricot add a new element to how the song plays out. Couple that with the intense math rock sounds that the band has become known for, and you have a song that hits and causes a dreamy feel at the same time. It’s a coupling that not only works, it stays with you and makes you want for more.

You can stream the track on all streaming sites, you can pick it up in all digital retailers or you can grab your own copy on April 13 at independent record shops participating in Record Store Day, from Big Scary Monsters. Delta Sleep will be back in the states on tour beginning March 29 in Asbury Park, NJ at House of Independents until April 20 in Philadelphia, PA at First Unitarian Church. A complete list of their tour dates can be found here
