Los Angeles indie rock group Superet has been making plenty of moves since they began. When working alongside Dave Fridmann on their latest maxi-single for the track “Comes As Relief” they found an unlikely source to work on the track’s remix, Fridmann’s son Mike also known as KWKA. The result is a song full of sonic intensity and a re-imagined sound that highlights the stronger points pf the original track.
Full of electronic intensity and House structures, the song feels a bit more closer to darkwave than the more upbeat sounds of the original. Removing the synth pop elements and focusing on the drum and bass of the song while adding more effects to the vocals gives the song a new life away from how it sounded when the original single was dropped.
You can stream the song above all you’d like, and you can stream the band’s catalog on all streaming sites as well as purchase their music in all digital retailers. Superet is on tour beginning March 29 in Houston, TX at House of Blues until May 18 in Minneapolis, MN at Fine Line Music Cafe. A complete list of the band’s appearances can be found here.
