If you weren’t familiar with the indie rock of Melbourne’s Alex Lahey, that could be understandable. Though her 2017 debut I Love You Like a Brother was a force, it may have not fallen upon your ears. With her new album The Best of Luck Club due in May, she’s dropped her new single “Am I Doing It Right?” and it should get you excited for what the day brings.

The song has a shimmered production that gives it a feel that’s larger than typical indie rock. The way things start offers a nice build from electronic touched indie pop, to driving rock sound. There’s something diverse in how her vocals pop off of the drums and the riff fueled pacing of the track. It’s catchy as songs get, making you get exciting for the upcoming album’s release.
