We were pretty bummed to hear that L.A. duo Sextile had gone on an indefinite hiatus. Being one of the most intriguing bands to make dark electronica in a field of poser acts, Sextile has always been a band that felt genuine and without compromise. With all of that said, their new video for the track “Hazing” is a trip that you need to see for yourself, especially if you aren’t familiar with them.
The video has a very voyeuristic feel, like we’re just outsiders looking in on a world through a peephole. The imagery feels like a dark underground that exists on the West Coast where businessmen can let loose and be someone they’re not known to actually be. It represents so much while the pulsating song plays like the soundtrack to it all.
The video can be viewed on YouTube or above, the track is available to stream on all platforms from the band’s latest release, last year’s 3. The release is also available for purchase in all digital shops, from the Felte Records Bandcamp or directly from Sextile.
