Last year when Iceage released their latest album Beyondless it was obvious that they’d grown as a band while keeping much of their core sound intact. Now as they take another run through North America, they’ve released a new video for the track ‘Pain Killer (feat. Sky Ferreira)” and it’s definitely worth checking out.
The video, an almost homage to the “Sabotage” video from Spike Jonze and the Beastie Boys, is full of pulp imagery and animation against the guise of imaginary skills and dream-like abilities. The song, one of the stronger tracks from the album almost hits harder with the video’s imagery, and reminds us that Iceage truly is ahead of the game.
The video is available stream above or on YouTube, Beyondless can be streamed on all streaming sites or purchased digitally in all online music retailers. The album is also available for purchase physically directly from Matador Records. Iceage is back on tour beginning tonight in Las Vegas, NV at Bunkhouse Saloon until June 11 in Shibuya-ku, Japan at WWW. A complete list of their tour dates can be found here.
