As far as music that stems in the world of folk, Hand Habits is a band that you can’t really deny. With their latest release placeholder getting praise from pretty much anyone who’s heard it, the imagery they release is just as remarkable, best shown with their latest video for the track “wildfire.”
Opening with imagery from what feels like blue-collar America, the video plays a narrative that mixes like a cluster of media lust and politics in these United States. With shots of people watching television, snapshots of American landscapes and homes ravaged by flames, the video reminds us of the fragility within our own lives and what we own while it all goes away in front of our eyes.
The video is available to stream above or on YouTube, “wildfire” is available to stream on all platforms. The new album placeholder from Hand Habits is ready to stream at all streaming sites, it can be purchased in all digital music stores or physically directly from Saddle Creek Records. Hand Habits is on tour tonight at The Earl in Atlanta, GA until November 14 and 15 in Los Angeles, CA at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. A complete run down of their dates can be found here.
