Minnesota indie rockers Remo Drive had made plenty of fans since starting out in 2013. With their debut album only being about two years old, they’re already releasing its follow-up, Natural, Everyday Degradation due at the end of May. With that they’ve dropped two new singles that should gear you up for the album’s release.
With hook filled melodies, “Two Bux” has a bit of a meandering pace that settles at a medium stride. The song has plenty of hitting notes, though when the chorus drops with dual vocals, things tick up in the catchy factor. The song is only a few hairs above the two and a half minute mark, yet it definitely shows that the band can hold your interests when they aren’t offering a snappy run.
With “The Grind,” Remo Drive does what they do best, offer upbeat indie rock with plenty of energy. The way the bass and the guitar work in unison with the drums creates a sound that you won’t forget. A more blistering sound, the added vocals and the pedal soaked second verse add a touch to the song that’s easy to like, and keeps the track in your head after you hear it only once.
Both songs are available to stream on all streaming sites, they can be bought in all spaces that sell music online, and the band’s new album Natural, Everyday Degradation is available for pre-order in multiple bundles and formats directly from the Remo Drive store or from Epitaph Records before its May 31 release. Remo Drive will be on tour starting May 30 in Madison, WI at High Noon Saloon until July 27 in Teulon, Canada at Real Love Summer Fest. A complete list of the band’s tour dates can be accessed here.
