Imperial Teen Return With First New Album in Seven Years

Seven years isn’t the longest passage of time, but in the music industry it can seem like forever. It’s been seven years since San Francisco indie pop quartet Imperial Teen have given us a new album, but with their new single “We Do What We Do Best” from their upcoming album Now We Are Timeless, they come back strong enough to make you want to get down to the pop sounds they’re known for.

The song touches you with all that the band has become known for, with multiple vocals and a catchy stride. The song feels like a mixture of neo-disco tinged indie pop while the catchy repetitive nature holds your attention from beginning to end. The band’s use of synths and backing vocals offers plenty to tickle your sense while you gaze upon what the group’s new record will ultimately sound like.

“We Do What We Do Best” is available to stream on all streaming platforms, it can be purchased in all digital music shops and Now We Are Timeless can be pre-ordered directly from Merge Records ahead of its July 12 release. Imperial Teen will be on tour starting July 25 in Brooklyn, NY at Baby’s All Right until August 03 in Los Angeles, CA at The Echo. A complete listing of their tour dates can be accessed here.
