Los Angeles four piece Ramonda Hammer is ramping things up for their new album’s release in the middle of June. Now with their new single “Better View” and its accompanying video, we get a closer look at what their new record I Never Wanted Company will ultimately sound like, and we can’t wait.
The best part of this band is their ability to build the intensity of a track, found all over this song. When the distortion pedals click on things get heavy fast and reward listeners with plenty of hazing riffs. The bridge in the track alone is enough to make any nineties alt rock fan happy, and the band’s use of loud quiet loud is exemplary. The video has an almost zombie-like end of the world feel with black and white and color frames switching in and out, portraying the intensity of the track perfectly.
The video can be viewed above or on YouTube, the single can be streamed on all streaming sites or purchased in all digital music retailers. I Never Wanted Company is available for pre-order directly from New Professor Music ahead of its June 14 release. Ramonda Hammer is set to perform at Mercury Lounge on May 18 in Goleta, CA and at The Echo on June 14 in Los Angeles, CA.
