The last calendar year for British indie pop trio Kero Kero Bonito has definitely been full of surprises. Alongside a new full length and a primarily sold out tour, the group has gotten to play big spaces while moving plenty of product in the process. Now with their new Swimming seven inch available next week the band has announced a new run of dates in the Fall, meaning they’ll return to cover even more grand than they did last year.
The two tracks pop and sparkle like you’ve come to expect from these three. There’s a magical phrasing to how the vocals are mixed, giving anyone who hears both tracks more pop candy for their ears. Where “Swimming” is medium paced and full with shoegaze and chill wave underpinnings, “The Open Road” is pure pop joy from beginning to end.
The physical Swimming seven inch will be available May 17 and can be pre-ordered directly from Polyvinyl Records. Kero Kero Bonito will begin their trek across the U.S. on October 03 in East Nashville, TN at The Basement East until November 15 in Miami, FL at Gramps.
