Cool Moon Returns with New Song Debut & New Album Announcement

Few bands give as much as they get, but some like Houston’s Cool Moon keep the music coming on a regular basis. Ever since we heard the band for the first time, there’s always been something authentic in their blend of nineties alternative rock and modern day indie rock. Now with their new full length The Devil Doesn’t Always Need An Advocate due in the beginning of June, they’ve released a new song “Flawless” that shows plenty of growth to their already infectious sound.

With striking guitar tone the song opens with snappy and upbeat drums before the vocals come in and grab a hold of your attention. The way the band controls the build of the song’s intensity and uptick is completely different from what most indie rock bands are doing without sounding foreign in the process. There’s something mystical in how the drums and bass blend in with the backing and lead vocals to generate something intriguing and new while still feeling familiar.

The song is available to stream above as much as you’d like and The Devil Doesn’t Always Need An Advocate is available to pre-order directly from Bandcamp ahead of its June 01 release. Cool Moon is set to appear on tour beginning June 01 at Leon’s Lounge in Houston, TX until June 15 at Programme Skate & Sound in Fullerton, CA on June 15.
