There’s a good chance you’re not familiar with the multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter Collin Desha, but you may know him by his stage name Low Hum. With arrangements that are beyond the typical act that falls into the electronic genre, his new single “Fake Reality” from his upcoming album Room To Breathe is a psychedelic journey into the relaxed.
Starting off with a distanced guitar track, the song begins to bloom when the synths and the beat come in. The groove is a chill one, though it’s also upbeat enough that it’s not sleepy. Once the vocals come in, all of that easy going vibe trickles along with falsetto vocals and a beat that’s not rushed. Of course when the chorus hits the song becomes alive and hits with the kind of intensity you’d expect from any upcoming producer in electronica.
The single is available to stream on all streaming platforms, it can be purchased digitally from all online music stores and Room To Breathe can be pre-ordered directly from Last Gang on vinyl ahead of its June 07 release. Low Hum is set to perform at Bootleg Theatre in Los Angeles, CA on June 07 and at Moonrise Festival June 15 and 16 in Apple Valley, CA.
