Reggie Watts Remixes Cherry Glazerr’s “Daddi” Into Pulsating Banger

Depending on who you ask, it could seem like a far stretch that a comic like Reggie Watts and an act like Cherry Glazerr would work together. Watts, a renowned comic and musician himself has been making audiences laugh with his on the minute songs and beats while Cherry Glazerr has toured pretty nonstop for the past couple of years. However somehow the two have come together with Watts’ remix of the Cherry Glazerr track “Daddi,” and the result is a pulsating song that could get feet moving in any dance club on the globe.

With a driving back beat, the song has different tones and touches in the verse, of course that all changes when the chorus hits. Instead of a driving and fuzzed out guitar there’s a pulsing beat and multiple synth clusters that really open the remix up. The way Watts remixes the song it’s almost hard to imagine that this version wasn’t part of the plan in how the song would be heard. Even the breakdown three quarters through sounds spacey and definitely a banger that you could get down to.

The latest album by Cherry Glazerr, Stuffed & Ready can be streamed on all streaming platforms, it can be purchased digitally from all online music stores or ordered in multiple formats directly from Secretly Canadian. Cherry Glazerr is on tour May 26 in Santa Fe, NM at Oasis Festival until September 15 in Los Angeles, CA at The Hollywood Bowl. The band’s complete tour schedule can be found here
