As a genre goes, the world of electro-pop can be a dizzying array of artists. Over the years in covering music, there have been acts that came and went without much fan fare alongside artists who got bigger with each release. However, there are some acts that can grab your attention with each album, making you wonder what they’ll come up with next. While Houston’s Tee Vee took some time off after playing festival stages after her debut release, her latest single “So Far” from her sophomore release Tempest should pull you in and make you ready to get down and celebrate the sunnier moments of life.
The song has a more focused direction than what we heard from her on her debut. With eighties electronic notations and dance pop nuances, her vocals seem to sparkle above the song that makes you ready to stop what you’re doing and just get down. Tee Vee’s synth use here is on point, the backing vocals add a nice additional snap and the beats definitely grab a hold of your ears and hold them from start to finish.
The track can be streamed above, Tempest is available for streaming tomorrow and can be pre-ordered digitally from all digital music stores and can be purchased on vinyl directly from Bandcamp. Tee Vee is set to announce touring plans soon, she can be seen in person next in Houston, TX at Axelrad on June 08.
