England’s Foals are nothing if not ambitious. While their new album Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost Part 1 is the first of two releases they’re putting out this year, they’re latest video for the track “Sunday” is just as varied and proves the band is just as creative visually as they are musically.
With an old school VHS feel, the song plays alongside to dual image of various places around the globe with the band placed on top. The multiple videos placed on each other creates a visual appearance you don’t see in videos, almost like a mistake though that’s not the case. In many ways, the video looks like a shirt you’d find at a truck stop with a face in one corner hovering above an eagle flying in a purple sky. With that said, the imagery is as alluring as the relaxed track, making it a memorable clip that will stay with you after you view it. That is, until the song picks up pace and the video becomes as dizzying as the music, creating a stirring cluster of images that’s very different than just another music video.
The video can be viewed above or on YouTube, Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost Part 1 can be streamed on all streaming sites or purchased directly from Warner Bros. Records. Foals is on tour starting June 05 at Grosse Freiheit in Hamburg, Germany until August 30 at Morze in St Petersburg, Russia. A complete list of the band’s upcoming tour dates can be accessed here.
