There are plenty of artists in electronic music that have stayed the course and re-invented what they sound like in order to stay in the game. While you may not be familiar with the music of Pitter Patter, the Texas artist has always re-imagined what his sound will be from release to release. Ahead of his new self-titled E.P. due later this month, his debut single definitely has plenty of snap to hold your attention. The video for the track “Bubbletooth” is something else entirely, offering a stop motion animation that goes just as far as the music itself.
Set up to look like an RPG video game, the animation of the video mixes well with the snappy electronica that Pitter Patter creates. Using action figures, the video looks a lot like a game from twenty years ago while the mixture of drums and synths within the music set the stage for the visual that the track crafts.
The video is available to stream above or on YouTube, “Bubbletooth” can be streamed on all streaming services and the new EP can be pre-saved ahead of its June 14 release here. Pitter Patter will be appearing on tour June 20 in Houston, TX at Axelrad, June 21 in Austin, TX at Electric Church and June 22 in Fort Worth, TX at Witchy Bazaar.
