It seems that the time is just ticking by until the new album from Glitterer is released into the world. The band, lead by Ned Russin of Title Fight is leaving for tour this weekend and they just dropped a new single “1001” from their new album Looking Through The Shades due in July. What stands out here most is how the track is another reminder that Glitterer is easily its own project and not just an offshoot of a bigger band.
The song has Russin literally rocking out, screaming his vocals between the melodies that run along within the song. The fuzzy guitar and the use of synths just add depth to the sound while the uptempo stride of the song places it into your ears and never really leaves. It’s a more expansive sound, one that shapes up what the new album could be without steering you away. The video has Russin following a young girl around, singing through blinds, and making his way around the city at night in a dark toned video for a song that isn’t really dark.
“1001” can be streamed wherever you stream music, it can be purchased digitally from online music retailers and Looking Through The Shades can be pre-ordered on multiple formats and in multiple bundles directly from Anti- Records before its July 12 release. Glitterer will be on tour beginning June 08 in Brooklyn, NY at Elsewhere until September 01 in London, UK at New Cross Inn. His complete tour dates can be accessed here.
