Anderson .Paak Brings Fire to Live Performance

Not every show we catch is fire. We’re in a time when artists are performers and not entertainers-and that’s okay. In fact we celebrate great music whether it be live or on record, entertainers or not. However, when we get to see an entertainer who can also bring it in their songwriting, we feel like it should be celebrated as well.

Anderson .Paak is one hundred percent an artist who is also one hell of an entertainer. We caught him on tour and from start to finish, it was obvious that Paak came to ignite the fire inside of us all and leave us wanting nothing more.

Opening a top the stage riser on drums-drums. The man opened his own show behind a drum kit to prove that he could do just that, and still hold our attention. With LED screens everywhere, a set of stairs on either side of the stage and a two story stage at that-Paak tore through a set list of favorites both old and new and made a strong case for why the room was not only packed, but why he was deserving of all of his success. He went into the crowd, he sang with emotion and he rhymed like he was rapping for his safety while keeping the energy high and never relenting to the rigors of performing at such a high level. Backed by his band The Free Nationals, Paak seemed to be having the time of his life while involving the crowd and giving everyone there their money’s worth.

Anderson .Paak’s entire catalog is available to stream on all platforms, his music can be purchased from all digital music outlets and his latest release Ventura is available on multiple formats directly from Aftermath. Anderson .Paak is on tour tomorrow in Denver, CO at Red Rocks Amphitheater until August 28 in Fort Punta Christo Pula, Croatia at Dimensions Festival.
