We understand that music is moving fast, and that it’s hard to keep tabs on all artists making great music. We miss things all the time because there’s only so much time in a day. However, and artist you shouldn’t sleep on is Carmen Villain. Her new single “Type” from her upcoming instrumental album Both Lines Will Be Blue is full of instrumentation and tones that could stir your soul with their presence.
The song has a ghostly effect that directs the sounds that emanate from the track. The beat comes in like an observant tourist while the flute and scondary rhythms dance alongside creating a universe of their own. The down tempo track is calming without sounding foreign to your ears, while it can also help soothe all that ails you with its lush tones and apparition based sequencing.
“Type” is available for streaming wherever you stream music, it can be purchased wherever you purchase music online and Both Lines Will Be Blue is available for pre-order directly from Smalltown Supersound ahead of its July 12 release. There are no tour dates announced yet for Carmen Villain, though that may change soon.
