Washington D.C. post-punks Priests have always been exciting to see in person. We caught them recently and not only did they bring plenty of passion to their set, they brought their new album The Seduction of Kansas to life as well.
Playing a mix of songs from the new album, their last release Nothing Feels Natural and even a Danzig cover, the band tore through their set with plenty of on stage banter with the audience and evocative energy. Where their reworked versions of older tracks have more vitality now, the new songs work on the same level between singer Katie Alice Greer bopping around the stage and drummer Daniele Daniele even stepping to the front of the stage to sing a few. The chemistry between the trio, the energetic set and the band’s ability to play to an eager crowd all made for a memorable night.
The Seduction of Kansas as well as the rest of the band’s catalog is available to stream on all platforms, they can be purchased in all digital outlets as well as physically directly from Sister Polygon Records. Priests are on tour tonight at Sister in Albuquerque, NM until July 09 in Kansas City at The Record Bar. A complete listing of their remaining tour dates can be found here.
