Holy Golden Changes Their Name & Releases New Song

It’s fair to say that we’re fans of the music of Holy Golden. There’s something about how the duo made music and did things in their own organic way. Now that they’re putting that band name to bed, they’re ready to embark with a new project called Dolly Valentine. With a new single “Michigan, 1997 (feat. Field Medic),” and a new direction, the future sounds brighter than ever for these two.

Those earthy tones that they made under their prior name are still present, yet there’s a heartier honesty to how this project sounds. The way the acoustic mixes with the vocals, the faint whistling from Molly Lewis adds an astral tone while the mix of vocals both male and female give the song more heft. The song, produced and engineered by Sarah Tudzin of Iluminati Hotties, gives us plenty of hope towards what this project will be and makes us excited about what they have planned for the future.

“Michigan, 1997 (feat. Field Medic” is available to stream on all streaming sites, it can be purchased in all digital music stores. The lyric video can be viewed above or on YouTube as well.
