Sister duo Tegan and Sara have been around for a good while. Since getting their start they’ve received Juno awards, they’ve been nominated for a Grammy and they’ve played some pretty big stages. While they’ve sold over a million records, for their ninth studio album due in September, they decided to return to where it all started and release forty tracks they recorded when they were in high school. The album, Hey, I’m Just Like You will feature re-recorded versions of those songs and should delight any fan wanting to see how it all began.
The band is also releasing a book called High School about the twins lives growing up in Alberta, Canada. The book will be made available in late September as a stand alone release as well, and will be made available in hard cover editions.
Hey, I’m Just Like You will be made available to the public on September 13 and it can be pre-ordered from Sire Records on multiple formats. High School will be made available on September 24 it can be purchased rom all book stores or pre-ordered here. Tegan and Sara do not have any announced tour plans yet, though that should change soon.
