In may ways, it’s hard to believe that the Touche Amore album …To The Beat of a Dead Horse came out a decade ago. The album, one of the more celebrated in the band’s catalog is a definite favorite among fans of the band. Now, in celebration of that time frame, the record is being re-released, repackaged and repressed in a limited run. The band has shared the song “Cadence (Anniversary Edition)” below to mark its return.
All of the intensity of the original version is here, but it’s also all ticked up a bit. The screamo elements that the band employed regularly in this era are still here, but with the song being reissued, it feels a little harsher than it did the first time around. Maybe it’s because the band doesn’t really make such intense music anymore, but we’re definitely liking this new version of the track.
“Cadence (Anniversary Edition)” can be streamed on all streaming sites, the song can be purchased in all digital store fronts and …To The Beat of a Dead Horse Deluxe Edition can be pre-ordered directly from Epitaph Records before its August 09 release. The vinyl pressing is limited to 1500 copies, and can be found in multiple bundles with a hard bound book as well. Touche Amore is on tour beginning August 12 at The Rebel Lounge in Phoenix, AZ until October 13 at Hard Club in Porto, Portugal. The band’s complete tour schedule can be accessed here.
