There’s a pretty good chance that you’ve never heard the music of New York’s Side Saddle, and that’s okay. With music moving as quickly as it’s moved in the past five years, it’s hard keeping up with every artist out there. Of course, when artistry is good it should be noted and Side Saddle proves as much on their latest single “Ink & Dirty Strings.” The song off their upcoming E.P. Watermelon due in September proves that sometimes the unheard music contains the biggest payoff.

The song has these dual vocals that mix well with the chunky riffed tone that keeps things going before the chorus kicks in and opens the song up like a flower blooming in the sunlight. The touches of fuzz rock and indie structuring only add to the shimmer that the song creates with plenty of hooks and catchy melody.
The song can be streamed on all platforms, it can be purchased in all digital storefronts and Watermelon can be purchased when it gets released to the world on September 16. Side Saddle is set to perform in New York, KY at Mercury Lounge on September 22.
