It’s fairly safe to say that most of what Dev Hynes, aka Blood Orange does is pretty intriguing and engaging. With his new mixtape Angel’s Pulse, he proves that all of the appeal around his music isn’t just hype, but that of an artist who’s rising as quickly as he can. In a new video, Hynes takes some time playing with a Moog One Synthesizer, and the results are just as magical as any of his music.
The video, clocking in a bit over the five minute mark has Hynes playing with the synth and exploring its analog tones. The video is from the Moog factory in Asheville, North Carolina and displays what happens when an artist gets some alone time to really explore the capabilities of what an instrument can do.
You can learn more about the Moog One here, Angel’s Pulse is available to stream on all streaming sites and can be purchased in all digital music stores via Domino Records. Blood Orange will be on tour beginning tonight in Copenhagen, DK at Vega until October 26 in Houston, TX at NRG Arena. His complete tour dates can be accessed here.
