We’ve written about the infectious pop touches of LA four piece Dear Boy in the past, because we feel like they’re a band that everyone needs to know. After years of slugging it out in California, the band just dropped a new video for the song “Heaven Moves” from their latest The Strawberry EP that you need to see with your own eyes.
The video featuring members of the band in varying themes of painted faces appears to be making their way around a metropolitan city. Shot in black and white, the pained faces pop and give the imagery more depth than if it were done in color. The song is one of the more infectious from the album with touches of new wave and shoegaze built in to its pop sound.
The video can be viewed above or on YouTube, The Strawberry EP is available for purchase on a limited edition vinyl format directly from the band or it can be purchased in all online stores or streamed on all platforms. Dear Boy is on tour tomorrow at The Observatory North Park in San Diego, CA and August 07 at Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.
