London’s Dry Cleaning isn’t too far off from releasing their Sweet Princess EP into the world, and it’s a move that any fan of the post-punk four piece has been eagerly awaiting. One of the most anticipated releases for fans of the current London scene, the band just dropped a new single “Goodnight” and it proves there’s more to them than a band that’s getting all sorts of praise.
Starting with crashing guitars before the song gets this noodled tone in how the guitars set the pace, the song has a real snappy stride that sticks in your head from the jump. The talk-sing vocals stand out while the music plays underneath, yet isn’t mixed where it’s a distant memory. The chord structures here alone are magical, but the lyrics with their disdain and the stark nature of how the song plays out places it in your head for days.
“Goodnight” can be streamed on all streaming sites, it can be purchased in all online music stores and the Sweet Princess EP can be pre-ordered ahead of its August 16 release directly from Bandcamp. Dry Cleaning is on tour starting August 08 at Prince Albert in Brighton, UK until October 18 at SWN Festival in Cardiff, UK. Their entire tour schedule can be found here.
