Jenny Hval Releases Stirring New Single

Noway’s Jenny Hval is in many ways, one of the strongest songwriters in music today. Alongside an artful presentation in everything she does, her new single “High Alice” from her upcoming album The Practice Of Love shows how engaging and creative she can get with her music while still intriguing you at every turn.

Beginning with an almost hip hop beat before the vocals meander in and help drive the track forward. These synths that hold arpeggiated rhythms get triangulated against whispered vocals and Hval’s own voice that draws your attention. There’s no posturing here, just pure inventive tones from Hval who doesn’t disappoint on a track that’s as close to dance music as she’s ever released while containing a stronger structuring than most dance music out there.

“High Alice” is available to stream wherever you stream music, it can be purchased as a digital single and The Practice of Love is available to pre-order directly from Sacred Bones before its September 13 release date. Jenny Hval will be on tour starting September 09 in Oslo, Norway at Ultima Festival until November 19 in Katowice, Poland at Ars Cameralis Festival. Her complete tour calendar can be found here
