The easy going sounds of an alternative rock band are not what you’ll find on the new single by The 1975. The lead track from their upcoming album Notes On A Conditional Form due next year, “People” doesn’t mince words on attitude or watching what you say and opts for a more hyper based tone that sears from open to close.
The song places the British alternative rockers in your face with howling tones and plenty of scream fueled vocals. Upping their game from the start, the song doesn’t let up energy wise while the video has a disclaimer about possible seizures ahead of its start. In many ways, it shows how visceral the band has become in recent years while displaying a more intense sound from the band in the process.
The video can be viewed above or on YouTube, the song is available to stream on all platforms or purchase in all digital music stores. Notes On A Conditional Form can be pre-ordered via Interscope Records from iTunes ahead of its February 21 release. The 1975 are on tour tonight in Leeds, UK at Bramham Park until December 13 in Indianapolis, IN at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. The band’s complete tour listings can be accessed here.
