It’s hard to believe that it’s been five years since we have heard any new music from Bombay Bicycle Club, but it’s been that long. The indie rock four piece has been recording as of late, and while their popularity hasn’t disappeared in their time away, it seems the London group is back with a new single “Eat, Sleep, Wake (Nothing But You),” and its hook filled sounds should have you place the song on repeat after one listen.
Adding pop nuance, the song has an immediately likable quality. The upbeat pacing and the repetitive lyrics place the words in you head like a time capsule that secures the chorus. Synth driven with electronic beats, the bass line alone should be enough, yet the band pushes forward with a bombastic stride that keeps the joyous sounds of the song pulsating in your ears for its whole run time.
The song can be streamed on all streaming sites, it can be purchased in all digital music stores as well. Bombay Bicycle Club is on tour beginning September 25 in Pomona, CA at The Glass House until November 16 and 17 in Bangkok, Thailand at Maho Rasop Festival. Their complete tour schedule can be accessed here.
