In a time when bands are consistently on the road, Durand Jones & The Indications seem to never stop moving. With a new run of tour dates beginning in early September, the band just dropped a new stand alone single “Cruisin’ to the Park” that not only raises up low rider culture, but also delivers one of the sexiest tracks the band has ever delivered.
In many ways, the doo wop touches that grace the track’s opening should be enough to draw your ears in. But the way the vocals have that sixties R&B meets soul vibe, the song could have come out when MoTown ruled the charts and you’d accept that as the case. The song has these sultry touches that make you swoon while the hook is the craftsmanship of the band’s performance. The video features low rider bicycles and couples in their drop tops rolling through the sunshine baked streets of East Los Angeles into the night.
The song and the accompanying video can be streamed on all platforms, it can be pre-ordered directly from Colemine Records on vinyl ahead of its October 18 release or in all digital music stores. Durand Jones & The Indications will be on tour starting September 06 at The Novo in Los Angeles, CA until January 22, 2020 at Sky Blue Sky Festival in Quintana. Mexico.
