Chicago’s Twin Peaks are just steps away from releasing their new album Lookout Low this Friday, though their new single “Oh Mama” shows a different side to the band without altering their core sound. With “Oh Mama,” they take their sound to a new place while still keeping any fan of the band happy in the process.
The song has a more raucous energy, like the band is performing at a party and everyone there is participating in the track. With a close to jam band vibe, the track has plenty of energy and vocals that dance on and off the song with a pace that’s up from open to close. The video has the same energy, with the band performing in a dive bar and eventually being covered in moss with time standing still. Drinking an elixir that smokes, various characters coming in and out of frame, the energy is high as are the spirits.
The video can be viewed above or on YouTube, the song can be streamed on all platforms and Lookout Low can be pre-ordered directly from Grand Jury Music on multiple formats and in multiple bundles ahead of its September 13 release. Twin Peaks is on tour starting tomorrow in Detroit, MI at The Majestic until February 26 in Brixton, UK at Electric Brixton. The band’s complete tour routing can be located here.
