Angel Olsen Doesn’t Disappoint With New Single

Angel Olsen is definitely in a great place, with a tour that will more than likely sell out and a new album that encapsulates a new sound for the singer songwriter. With All Mirrors set for release in October, Olsen has just released a new addition of tour dates as well as a new single “Lark” that should make her fans happy while she expands her sound on each well crafted note.

The song has this build to it that pulls you in, if not just to hear Olsen’s tender words. Opening like a soft memory, she builds the verse like a storyteller narrating a tale from long ago. The opening track from her upcoming record, the song’s cinematic touches through stringed instruments is extraordinary before the song explodes in tones with Olsen piping the vocals at full volume surrounding your ears. The eleven piece orchestra backing Olsen is on another level, giving the track a heft you may be blown away by. The video from Ashley Connor plays out like a film as well, with Olsen leaving a house and going on a journey of sorts. Embracing nature with a 360 camera angle, aerial views of Olsen on a hilltop, laying in the grass and then swimming, the video is just as beautifully crafted as the song complete with closeups of Olsen in various places throughout the journey.

“Lark” can be streamed wherever you stream music, it can be purchased in all online music stores and All Mirrors is available for pre-order on multiple formats directly from Jagjaguwar Records ahead of its October 04 release. Angel Olsen in on tour starting October 28 at Haw River Ballroom in Saxapahaw, NC until February 14 at Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow, UK. Her complete tour schedule is available here.
