Belle & Sebastian Video Offer Softer Side in New Video

For a while now, few could argue against the music made by Belle & Sebastian. With a growth in sound that gets more expansive with each release, their latest Days of the Bagnold Summer is extraordinary. Now ahead of a new run of tour dates, they’ve released a tender video for the track “This Letter” you should get your eyes on.

The video begins with shots of the band before focusing in another direction. While members of Glasgow group Wet Look run around and film one another, it creates a softer side to a music video. Utilizing a Super 8 camera, the trio reenacts the song as it plays out. The song already has a weight to it and the video brings it to life. With the soft and melodic guitar, the actions play out and give way to a more emotional direction.

The video can be seen on YouTube or above, Days of the Bagnold Summer can be purchased in all digital outlets or purchased physically directly from Matador Records. Belle & Sebastian are on tour starting October 31 in Lille, France at Le’ Aeronef until November 08 in Benidorm, Spain at Primavera Weekender. The band’s complete tour schedule can be located here
