Chicago’s Deeper have been having quite the recent run, with a sold out hometown show and a new 7″ vinyl out on Fire Talk. The trio has this ability to draw your ears with their post-punk sound and before they take off on tour they’ve released a new video you’ll want to get your eyes on.
The song has a nice sonic quality with snappy drums, a murky bass and chimed guitars. The shouted vocals place the song within your ears perfectly. The video has a very eighties appearance. With someone wearing a mask and looking for a place to plug something in, it’s a strange visual in the least. Centering around an old television, it gets destroyed over time proving it’s an outdated technology.
The video can be viewed above or on YouTube. The Run 7 inch is available directly from Fire Talk Records. The songs can be streamed on all platforms or purchased digitally in all outlets. Deeper is on tour beginning October 18 in Rotterdam, Netherlands at Left of the Dial Festival until October 28 in Paris, France at Supersonic. The band’s complete tour schedule is located here.
