It’s Hard Not to Love the New Song by PYNKIE

Because in music you can’t write about everything, it’s regretful when you come across something that you missed. While it sucks that I missed the debut album neoteny by New Jersey’s PYNKIE, it’s safe to say that you shouldn’t neglect her latest single “Funny Boy.” Endearing and catchy, there’s little here you can complain about and plenty to fawn over.

Despite the ‘South Park’ in the background of the opening, the song is about as wondrous as indie pop can get. The vocals are dreamy while the musicality of the track is catchy and understated in its craft. The dual vocals make the song open up before the guitar embarks on its own path between lead and backing vocals that dance like sparkling diamonds. The song is ear candy without causing a sugar overdose, and makes PYNKIE an act to keep your eyes on.

The song is available to purchase in all digital outlets or to stream from all streaming sites. PYNKIE is set to appear at Pet Shop JC in Jersey City, NJ on December 12.
