It’s safe to say that Sharon Van Etten is on a level they few singers can touch. With her latest album Remind Me Tomorrow receiving critical praise and her shows getting into larger and larger rooms, it seems there’s little she can do that’s not heralded. Now with a new run of dates announced for the Spring of 2020, she’s just performed with Jeff Goldblum on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!,’ and it’s extraordinary.
Performing with Goldblum on the song “Let’s Face the Music & Dance,” Van Etten assumes the role perfectly, accompanying the jazz tones like she was meant to. Her vocals dancing above the thumpy bass and the dancing piano. Smoky voiced and strikingly at ease, it shows how diverse Van Etten can be behind the mic.
