Chicago’s Post Animal haven’t been around a long time, yet their psych touched tones have reached a large scale of people. With a five year existence, they’ve made plenty of waves wherever they’ve performed and now they’ve just announced a new album set for release early next year. With Forward Motion Godyssey out in February, they’ve released the lead single with “Schedule” and it’s definitely a doozy of a song.

The song opens with a chill tone and an escalating pace. With a bit of a change away from psych and closer to a chillwave meets Laurel Canyon tone, the song is uplifting without being overly sunny. The vocals dance among the keys and synths to create a shining sound that’s not only catchy but well arranged. In many ways it makes for a sound that a larger audience will like without walking away from their past.

Forward Motion Godyssey is available to preorder on multiple formats and bundles directly from Polyvinyl Records ahead of its February 14 release.
