Chicago’s Whitney have been swooning the ears of anyone who’s heard their music. With their new full length Forever Turned Around, they proved they weren’t just a flash in the pan. Now with the album out, they’ve dropped two new songs. “FTA,” a song not on the album and a cover of the Wilco song “Far Away” both cement the band as purveyors of smooth sounds that are difficult not to fall for.

“FTA” has all of the makings of a classic track from the band. The easy going demeanor that the track holds with tender acoustic and piano lead tones. It’s a chill a quick song where the build up pays off while it soothes your soul. “Far Away” still has those Wilco nods, but the band has no problem making the track their own. With all of the grace and nuance to their well crafted sound lending a hand, it’s a great example of the band’s stronger suits.
