Artists like Sasami are hard to come by in that her way of releasing music feels organic and her way of making it feels very natural. Ahead of the holidays, she’s released a three song EP with lil drmr bb. With a new song and two holiday themed covers, it should help you ring in the season with joy.

The opening track, a cover of “Little Drummer Boy” is dark and eviscerate. Utilizing dark electronica as the backdrop, she vocals have a synthetic feel that offers a completely new take on the holiday classic. The way the beats intertwine with the synthesized vocals creates an intriguing mix. Where the stunning closing cover of “Silent Night” will make you a bigger fan of Sasami’s range, the original track “It’s You” is the true winner here. Along with a drum machine, the vocals have this unassuming nature that draws you closer. The tender yet sad nature of how the vocals play out creates an endearing nature that’s wondrous and remarkable in its simplicity.
