Spoon Exhumes 2002 B-Side & Makes it Available to Stream

With a greatest hits out, most bands would let the release stand on its own. For Texas’ Spoon however, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Continuing their string of deep dives alongside Everything Hits At Once: The Best of Spoon, the band has unearthed another b-side. Though “Text Later” isn’t even one minute long, it’s a nice reminder of where the band was in terms of songwriting almost twenty years ago.

The instrumental fits perfectly in where the band was in that era of their career. Short and to the point with a lo-fi sound and no frills, the track doesn’t linger by any means. A b-side to the split 7″ release with Swearing At Motorists, the track is in line with “Shake It Off” which also appeared on the release.

“Text Later” is available to stream on all streaming sites and can be purchased in all digital outlets. Everything Hits at Once: The Best of Spoon is available to purchase directly from Matador Records on multiple formats.
