Frances Quilan Releases Artful Video for “Rare Thing”


Fans of the band Hop Along certainly know about lead singer Frances Quinlan. With a voice that brings plenty of harmony, she’s ready to try things on the solo side. With her debut solo album Likewise due in late January, Quinlan has just released a new video for her single “Rare Thing,” and it should dazzle the eyes of everyone who watches it.

The video features Quinlan doing original art and moving in stop-motion movement. As she sits and watches a video of herself, the frantic pace at which she paints is intriguing.Among outfit changes, the art begins to really take shape. Throughout her movements, we see Quilan learn to live with what she’s created, while the song leaks into your conscious only to never leave.

The video can be viewed above or on YouTube. Rare Thing” can be streamed on all platforms or purchased in all digital outlets. Likewise is available for preorder on multiple formats directly from Saddle Creek ahead of its January 31 release. Frances Quinlan will be on tour beginning January 15 in London, UK at The Lexington.
